Assured Life Embarks on 13th Year for its National Member Food Drive

2021 marks the 13th year for Assured Life Association’s national member food drive. In the United States, 1 in 9 people face hunger in some way or other. According to Feeding America, due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, more than 42 million people may experience food insecurity, including a potential 13 million children. Food insecurity is defined as a lack of consistent access to food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life.

Even though there has been an improvement in people facing hunger over the years (when we started our national member food drive 13 years ago, 1 in 6 people in the United States was facing hunger), there is still an enormous need for assistance. So, please consider getting involved in our food drive this year.

Use our Food Drive Packet for ideas of how to get involved. Or consider a “Food Build” project. How about sponsoring a Food Drive Scavenger Hunt? Or consider donating money to your local food bank or food program and utilize Assured Life’s matching gift program to increase your impact.
